You are welcome, Laura. I just got word that another of our CCBioneers group is signing up. I don't know how I missed your first Symposium. Just so you know, I saw an announcement about the Symposium on Facebook. I always like to know what marketing methods I used work, so thought you might like the feedback.

If you want to see what individual homeowners can do, feel free to include us on your tour. We currently capture 3,500 gallons of rainwater from: section of our house roof, off our shed and off our grid tied solar system, which triples as a deck covering. We also have a very small greywater system that takes water from our washing machine and waters 4 small areas; 2 native plants circles, an herb circle and one redwood tree.

This workshop addresses a much needed area in which we always can improve and often is our highest priority. How can we save the planet if we can't ourselves evolve both collectively and individually. Such is the basis of the collaborative action upon which the fate of the biosphere depends. Note: the above website link is not my personal website but it is the one at which most of my current endeavors are focused, so I am using it for purposes of this comment. Feel free to join wikibooks (shameless plug) which is my most favorite collaborative project, very much more open to fresh ideas than many others. Let's do a Bioneers wikibook!!

Hi, I was interested in signing up for this field trip, but I don't see any place to do it. The event is not listed at the Quail Springs website, and there's no place here to do it. Please let me know how I can sign up.

Excellent choice. Gloria really stands out in that her "feminism" is really a "humanism". I own a copy of her great book "Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem" and never fail to be thrilled and inspired by her outstanding insights. -Geof

We are blessed by beauty and the estrategic location of the Central Coast. We also could use the sense of community and educate in farmer's markets and other gatherings... When I moved here I would get fresh eggs from down the road, get honney from the apiary....fresh tomaoes from someones vine...lemons at work from someones tree...even now, I get my fresh olive oil a couple of miles from my house. We need to promote development of knowledge and skills to improve and mantain what we have. We are a community that recycles, maybe we do not need all the rappings from food sold in super markets. We have so much sun, we could use it to get the clothes whiter instead of extra bleaches etc
